How to Use Avocado Oil on Your Skin

It is no secret that Avocado Oil is quite useful in taking care of your skin and in keeping it hydrated and elastic, which is why it acts as an amazing face moisturizer. It can keep your face moisturized for a greater part of the day while keeping it soft and supple. It has many amazing ingredients like antioxidants, fats, minerals, and vitamins which act as a natural sunscreen and keep your face smooth and hydrated.

There are a few ways in which you can use Avocado Oil on your Skin to replenish the dry skin and heal all kinds of skin troubles:

As a Lotion

Avocado oil is found to be particularly useful in treating chapped skin which makes it an amazing product to be used as a lotion. You just need to massage avocado oil on your skin every day after bath. You can either use it directly or you can mix it with your everyday lotion and then apply on your body. Trust me, after a few applications, you will notice that your skin isn’t chapped anymore and is quite smooth and shiny now.

As a Face Moisturizer

Another popular application of an Avocado Oil on your skin is in the form of a moisturizer. You just need a bottle which is filled 2/3 with Avocado oil and filled the rest of the bottle with another nourishing oil like an emu oil. Then, add a few drops of essential oils like lavender or rose and then close the cap and shake the bottle well. Now, take the oil on your hand and apply it on your face and hands. Make sure that you keep this oil away from the sunlight and you will be able to use it for a year.

As a Homemade Facemask

For using the Avocado oil as a homemade face mask, you will need to cut a few pieces of ripe Avocado and then take Avocado oil and mix both the ingredients.

You can use a spoon to mash the ingredients properly and then apply the paste on your face and keep it for 10-15 minutes. Once it is set, you can use warm water to wash it off and then pat it dry with a dry towel.

Once you have done this, you will find that your face has become softer and much more hydrated than before. It will also help in getting rid scars from your face and will leave your face clearer than before.

As an Anti-Aging Skin Cream

Due to the antioxidants available in the Avocado oil, it also acts an efficient anti-aging skin cream. All you need is a  ¼ cup of avocado oil, 2 tbsp. coconut oil, 2 tbsp. beeswax, ½ Tsp. Vitamin E oil, and 1 tbsp. Shea butter. Pour these ingredients into a glass jar and then put this jar in a pot filled with water. Now, boil the water and let the ingredients melt together. Add the cream into the jar and then let the mixture sit till it hardens. Once it is ready, put the lid on and store it in a cool place.
